Top nine Canadians competing in March Madness 2026

March Madness officially begins on Thursday. Here are nine Canadian players who averaged a minimum of 10 points this season to keep an eye on.

Aden Holloway 

A guard, Aden Holloway is a Canadian because his mother Robin was born in Calgary, as his grandfather Dave Raimey played 10 seasons in the Canadian Football League with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Toronto Argonauts as a running back and defensive back from 1965 to 1974. Holloway is a junior, who wears number two for the University of Alabama Crimson Tide. This past season, Holloway was on the All-Southeastern Conference Team. He is averaging 16.8 points per game, 3.8 assists per game and 2.8 rebounds per game, with a field goal percentage of .481, three point percentage of .438 and a free throw percentage of .864 in 2025-26. The Crimson Tide are the fourth seed in the Midwest Region, and will play 13th seed Hofstra on Friday at 1:15pm MT in Tampa, Florida.

Jamal Fuller 

A senior forward from Toronto, Ontario, Fuller wears number 33 for the Long Island University Sharks. This past season, Fuller was on the All Northeast Conference Team. He is averaging 16.4 points per game, 5.5 rebounds per game, 2.5 assists per game, 1.1 blocks per game and one steal per game, with a field goal percentage of .525, three point percentage of .438, and a free throw percentage of .770 in 2025-26. The Sharks are the 16th seed in the West Region and will play the first seed Arizona on Friday at 11:35am MT in San Diego, California.

Emanuel Sharp 

A senior guard, whose mother is from Hamilton, Ontario, and played basketball at the University of Toronto, Emmanuel Sharp wears number 21 for the University of Houston Cougars. This past season, Sharp was on the All-Big 12, and Big 12 All-Defense Team. He is averaging 15.3 points per game, 2.9 rebounds per game, 1.8 assists per game, 1.2 steals per game, with a field goal percentage of .403, three point percentage of .371, and a Big 12 Conference leading free throw percentage of .892 in 2025-26. The Cougars are the second seed in the South Region and will play the 15th seed Idaho on Thursday at 8:50 pm MT in Oklahoma City.

Malachi Davis

A senior guard from Scarborough, Ontario, Davis wears number zero for the Long Island University Sharks. This past season, Davis joined Fuller on the All-Northeast Conference Team. He is averaging 14.4 points per game, 3.5 rebounds per game, 3.4 assists per game, 1.2 steals per game, with a field goal percentage of .418, three point percentage of .319, and a free throw percentage of .621 in 2025-26.

Elijah Mahi

A senior forward from Toronto, Mahi wears number eight for the Santa Clara University Broncos. He was on the All-West Coast Conference this past season. Mahi is averaging 13.9 points per game, 4.7 rebounds per game, 2.6 assists per game, and 1.4 steals per game, along with a field goal percentage percentage of .448, three point percentage of .336, and a free throw percentage of .707 in 2025-26. The Broncos are the 10th seed in the Midwest Region and will play the seventh seed Kentucky on Friday at 10:15 am MT in St. Louis.

Xaivian Lee 

A senior point guard from Toronto, Lee wears number one for the University of Florida Gators. He is averaging 11.5 points per game, 4.2 assists per game, 3.8 rebounds per game, 1.2 steals per game, with a field goal percentage of .414, three point percentage of .282 and a free throw percentage of .771. The Gators are the first seed in the South Region.

Josh Omojafo 

A senior guard from Hamilton, Omojafo wears number eight for the University of South Florida Bulls. He is averaging 11.5 points per game, 5.3 rebounds per game, 1.8 assists per game, with a field goal percentage of .461, three point percentage of .306 and a free throw percentage of .778. The Bulls are the 11th seed in the East Region, and will play the sixth seed University of Louisville on Thursday at 11:30 am MT in Buffalo.

Ose Okojie  

A senior guard from Brampton, Ontario, Okojie wears number 11 for the Howard University Bison. A member of the 2025-26 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, Okojie is averaging 10.5 points per game, 3.8 rebounds per game, 1.7 assists per game, and 1.5 steals per game, with a field goal percentage of .566, three point percentage of .429, and free throw percentage of .624. The Bison are the 16th seed in the Midwest Region, and will play the University of Michigan Wolverines on Thursday at 5:10 pm MT in Buffalo.

Edouard Benoit 

A sophomore forward from Montreal, Quebec, Benoit wears number five at Lehigh University. He is averaging 10.3 points per game, six rebounds per game and one assist per game. Lehigh also has a field goal percentage of .401, three point percentage of .308, and free throw percentage of .825.
