Top 10 Canadians in the 2025-26 NBA season

The 2025-26 National Basketball Association season begins on Tuesday. Here are the top 10 Canadians in the NBA this season. Players are listed in alphabetical order to their last name.

R.J. Barrett--The starting shooting guard on the Toronto Raptors is from Toronto, Ontario. Last season he averaged 21.1 points per game, 6.3 rebounds per game, and 5.4 assists per game. Barrett had a field goal percentage of .468, three point percentage of .350, and free throw percentage of .630.

Chris Boucher–The power forward from Montreal, Quebec is in his first season with the Boston Celtics. Last season with the Raptors, Boucher averaged 10 points per game, and 4.5 rebounds per game. He had a field goal percentage of .492, three point percentage of .363 and a free throw percentage of .782.

Dillon Brooks–The starting power forward on the Phoenix Suns is from Mississauga, Ontario. Last season with the Houston Rockets, Brooks averaged 14 points per game, 3.7 rebounds per game, and 1.7 assists per game. He had a field goal percentage of .429, three point percentage of .397 and free throw percentage of .818.

Luguentz Dort–The starting shooting guard on the Oklahoma City Thunder is from Montreal. Last season Dort averaged 10.1 points per game, 4.1 rebounds per game, 1.6 assists per game, and 1.1 steals per game. He had a field goal percentage of .435, three point percentage of .412 and free throw percentage of .717. Dort was on the NBA’s First Defensive Team and won the NBA Finals with the Thunder.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander–The starting point guard for the Thunder is from Toronto. Regarded as the best player in the NBA at the moment, he won the NBA Finals with the Thunder, led the NBA in scoring (32.7 points per game), was named NBA MVP and NBA Finals MVP. Gilgeous-Alexander also averaged five rebounds per game, 6.4 assists per game, and 1.7 steals per game. He had a free throw percentage of .519, three point percentage of .375, and a free throw percentage of .898.

Bennedict Mathurin–The starting shooting guard for the Indiana Pacers is from Montreal. This past season he averaged 16.1 points per game, 5.3 rebounds per game, and 1.9 assists per game. Mathurin had a field goal percentage of .458, three point percentage of .340 and free throw percentage of .831.

Jamal Murray–The starting point guard for the Denver Nuggets is from Kitchener, Ontario. This past season he averaged 21.4 points per game, six assists per game, 3.9 rebounds per game and 1.4 steals per game. Murray had a field goal percentage of .474, three point percentage of .393 and a free throw percentage of .886.

Andrew Nembhard–The starting point guard for the Pacers is from Aurora, Ontario. This past season he averaged 10 points per game, five assists per game, 3.3 rebounds per game and 1.2 steals per game. Nembhard had a field goal percentage of .458, three point percentage of .291 and a free throw percentage of .794.

Shaedon Sharpe–The starting shooting guard for the Portland Trail Blazers is from London, Ontario. This past season, he averaged 18.5 points per game, 4.5 rebounds per game, and 2.8 assists per game. Sharpe had a field goal percentage of .452, three point percentage of .311, and free throw percentage of .785.

Andrew Wiggins–The starting small forward for the Miami Heat is from Toronto. This past season with the Heat and Golden State Warriors, he averaged 18 points per game, 4.5 rebounds per game, 2.6 assists per game and one steal per game. Wiggins had a field goal percentage of .448, three point percentage of .374 and free throw percentage of .763.
