
The seventh week is now concluded in the 2025 Canadian Football League regular season, and three Canadians recorded a touchdown on a winning team. They were Calgary Stampeders wide receiver Damien Alford of Montreal, Quebec, Stampeders quarterback Quincy Vaughn of Brantford, Ontario, and Hamilton Tiger-Cats Ante Milanovic-Litre of Vancouver, British Columbia.
Alford and Vaughn both found the end zone in the Stampeders’s 41-20 win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Friday. Vaughn had Calgary’s first touchdown on a one-yard run at 7:55 of the first quarter which put Calgary up 7-3. Alford, in fact, had two touchdown catches. He put the Stampeders up 17-13 at 7:56 of the second quarter with a 37-yard touchdown catch from Vernon Adams, and put the Stampeders up 24-13 on a 42-yard touchdown catch from Adams with one minute and 48 seconds left in the third quarter.
Alford’s two touchdown catches were his only two catches of the game. He had two catches for 79 yards. On the season, Alford has 12 catches for 300 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns in five games. Vaughn had two rushes for one yard. On the season, he has 14 rushes for 27 rushing yards and one touchdown, and one catch for 15 receiving yards.
Milanovic-Litre had a one-yard touchdown run in a 30-15 Tiger-Cats win over the Ottawa Redblacks on Sunday. He put the Tiger-Cats up 27-15 at 6:28 of the fourth quarter. Milanovic-Litre finished the game with two rushes for seven rushing yards. On the season, he has 18 rushes for 59 rushing yards and two touchdowns, and six catches for 38 receiving yards.
The Stampeders lead the West Division at five wins and one loss for 10 points. The Tiger-Cats, who are undefeated in games played within their division, lead the East Division at four wins and two losses for eight points.
