Quebec leads Canada Summer Games standings with 16 medals

Historically, Ontario does best at the Canada Games. In the history of this multi-sport event, Ontario has won 3538 medals, which are 337 medals more than Quebec, who have won 3201 medals. So it is significant any time Quebec does have more medals than Ontario, like they do now. After two days of competition at the 2025 Canada Games in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Quebec has a Canada Games leading 16 medals (six gold medals. four silver medals and six bronze medals), meanwhile Ontario has 14 medals (five gold medals, four silver medals and five bronze medals). He was 2.261 seconds faster than silver medalist Duncan Giles of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, who had a second place time of 2:07.837. Also in canoeing. Quebec won gold in the men’s C2 1000 metres. The Quebec team was comprised of Elliot Arnautovitch and Emile Bouvier of Pointe-Claire, who had a winning time of 4:26.67. They were 5.217 seconds faster than silver medalist team from Nova Scotia.

In cycling, Jacob Roy of Amos, Quebec won gold in the men’s individual time trial with a time of 31 minutes, 16.11 seconds. It was a 1-2 Quebec finish as Gabriel Seguin of Valleyfield won the silver medal with a time of 31 minutes, 17.90 seconds. Quebec’s other two medals came in para cycling as Joseph Vachon of Rouyn-Noranda placed first in the men’s individual para time trial, with a time of 29 minutes, 9.29 seconds. He was six minutes, 10.12 seconds faster than Daniel Bigu of Kitchener, Ontario, who had a second place time of 35:19.41. Camille Rene of St-Felix de Kingsey, Quebec won the women’s individual para cycling time trial with a time of 33:37.26.
