Canada roster set for the 2026 World Junior Hockey Championship

The 2026 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Hockey Championship will commence on Friday in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota. Here is the Canadian roster.

There are 13 Canadian forwards. They are left winger Carter Bear of West St. Paul, Manitoba, centre Cole Beaudoin of Ottawa, Ontario (Barrie Colts), centre Braeden Cootes of Sherwood Park, Alberta (drafted by the Vancouver Canucks), centre Caleb Desnoyers of Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec (Moncton Wildcats), right winger Liam Greentree of Oshawa, Ontario (Windsor Spitfires), centre Michael Hage of Oakville, Ontario (drafted by the Montreal Canadiens), left winger Tij Iginla of Kelowna, British Columbia (Kelowna Rockets), centre Jett Luchanko of London, Ontario (Brantford Bulldogs), centre Brady Martin of Kitchener, Ontario (Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds), right winger Porter Martone of Peterborough, Ontario, left winger Gavin McKenna of Whitehorse, Yukon, centre Michael Misa of Oakville, Ontario, right winger Sam O’Reilly of Toronto, Ontario (London Knights) and centre Cole Reschny of Macklin, Saskatchewan (drafted by the Calgary Flames).

There are eight Canadian defensemen. They are Kashawn Aitcheson of Toronto, Ontario (Barrie Colts), Harrison Brunicke, Carson Carels of Cypress River, Manitoba (Prince George Cougars), Ben Danford of Belleville, Ontario (Brantford Bulldogs, drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs), Ethan MacKenzie of Peachland, British Columbia (Edmonton Oil Kings), Zayne Parekh of Markham, Ontario (Calgary Flames), Cameron Reid of Aylmer, Ontario (Kitchener Rangers) and Keaton Verhoeff of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.

There are three Canadian goaltenders. They are Carter George of Thunder Bay, Ontario (Owen Sound Attack), Jack Ivankovic of Mississauga, Ontario and Joshua Ravensbergen of North Vancouver, British Columbia (Prince George Cougars). Canada’s first game is Friday against the Czech Republic (6:30 pm MT).
