Beckett Sennecke records first career NHL hat trick

Anahieim Ducks right winger Beckett Sennecke of Toronto, Ontario recorded his first career National Hockey League hat trick on Sunday. He accomplished the feat in a 4-3 Ducks win over the Calgary Flames at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta.

Sennecke’s first goal pulled Anaheim within one goal (2-1 Calgary) at  3:22 of the second period. Alex Killorn of Halifax, Nova Scotia and Mikael Granlund had the assists. Sennecke then tied the game at two from Granlund and Killorn at 12:41 of the second period. Sennecke’s game-winning goal came from Jackson LaCombe at 2:54 of the first overtime period.

Sennecke was one of two Ducks players with a multi-point game. The other was Killorn with two assists.

Sennecke is a rookie this season with the Ducks. He was the third overall pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. Sennecke played for the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League for his junior hockey.

In 2025-26, Sennecke has 18 goals and 23 assists for 41 points in 52 games. He is a +1 with 36 penalty minutes, five power-play points, one shorthanded point, two game-winning goals, 113 shots on goal, two faceoff wins, 16 blocked shots, 56 hits, 12 takeaways, and 60 giveaways.

Sennecke’s shorthanded point came in a 4-3 Ducks win over the Pittsburgh Penguins on December 9. Sennecke tied the game at three with one second left in the third period. Sennecke’s game-winning goal came in a 3-1 Ducks win over the Dallas Stars on January 13. Sennecke put the Ducks up 2-0 at 12:03 of the third period with an unassisted marker.

With the win, the Ducks have now won seven straight games and are in third place in the Pacific Division. They have a record of 28 wins, 21 regulation losses and three losses in extra time for 59 points.
