It was a notable blowout for the Toronto Raptors in National Basketball Association action on Sunday. They clobbered the Orlando Magic 139-87. In beating the Magic by 52 points, they delivered their second biggest win in franchise history. Toronto’s only bigger win was by 53 points. They clobbered the Golden State Warriors 130-77 on April 2, 2021.

The most notable part of the Raptors win was their remarkable 31-0 run. This was the most consecutive points by one team in a single game in NBA history. The previous record was 30 consecutive points by the Dallas Mavericks. Remarkably, this happened in a 126-120 Mavericks loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on December 2, 2023.

This was also the biggest loss in Magic history. Toronto won every quarter. They outscored the Magic 38-20 in the first quarter, 32-23 in the second quarter, 43-25 in the third quarter and 26-19 in the fourth quarter.

Eight Raptors reached double digits in scoring. RJ Barrett of Toronto, Ontario led the Raptors with 24 points. He was followed by Scottie Barnes (23 points), Sandro Mamukelashvili (19 points), A.J. Lawson of Toronto (14 points), Jamal Shead (12 points), Gradey Dick (11 points), Jakob Poeltl (11 points), and Ja’Kobe Walter (11 points). Barnes and Shead reached double digits in assists as Barnes had 15 helpers and Shead had 10 helpers.

With the win, the Raptors improved to a record of 42 wins and 32 losses. They are in fifth place in the Eastern Conference.
