Kayle Osborne of Westport, Ontario recorded her fourth career Professional Women’s Hockey League shutout on Tuesday. She accomplished the feat in a 2-0 New York Sirens win over the Toronto Sceptres at the Coca Cola Coliseum in Toronto, Ontario.
Osborne made 31 saves for the shutout. She made 10 saves in the first period, nine saves in the second period, and 12 saves in the third period. Canadian Olympic gold medalist Natalie Spooner of Scarborough, Ontario and Anna Kjellbin led the Sceptres with four shots on goal each. Spooner won the gold medal for Canada at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi and the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing.
On the season, Osborne has a record of six wins and five regulation losses after 11 games. She has a goals against average of 1.93, and a save percentage of .930.
All four of Osborne’s PWHL shutouts have been against Canadian teams. Her first PWHL shutout came on January 27, 2025 in a 3-0 Sirens win over the Ottawa Charge at Toronto Dominion Place in Ottawa, Ontario. Osborne’s second PWHL shutout came on November 22, 2025 in a 4-0 Sirens win over the Charge, also at TD Place. Osborne’s third PWHL shutout came on January 2, 2026 in a 2-0 Sirens win over the Vancouver Goldeneyes.
With the win, the Sirens are in second place in the PWHL standings. They are at six regulation wins and five regulation losses for 18 points. New York is four points back of the first place Boston Fleet.
