On the men’s side, they are Keoma Ali Al-Ahmadieh of Montreal, Quebec (men’s 60 kilograms), Kuwardeep Manu of Brampton, Ontario (men’s 70 kilograms), Joshua Ofori of Edmonton, Alberta (men’s 75 kilograms), and Nickenson Denis of Montreal (men’s 80 kilograms). On the women’s side, they are Mckenzie Wright of Oakville, Ontario (women’s 51 kilograms), Scarlett Delgado of Brampton (women’s 54 kilograms), and Viktoria Penney of Toronto, Ontario (women’s 80 kilograms).
In men’s action, Al-Ahmadieh defeated Mohammad Abu Jajeh of Jordan 5-0 in his first round bout, and will next fight Lundaa Gantumur of Mongolia in the round of 16. That bout will take place at approximately 12:45 pm MT on Monday. Manu defeated Josaia Veiqaravi of Fiji 5-0 in his first round bout, and will next fight Odel Kamara of England in the round of 16. That bout will take place at approximately 7:15 am MT on Monday. Ofori defeated Callum Peters of Australia 5-0 in his first round bout, and will next fight Nuradin Rustambek Uulu of Kyrgyzstan in the round of 16 at approximately 1:30 pm MT on Monday. Denis defeated Oussama El-Moussaoui of Belgium 5-0 in his first round bout, and will next fight Oladimeji Shittu of England at approximately 8:15 am MT on Tuesday.
On the women’s side, Wright beat Yara Al-Amri of Saudi Arabia 5-0 in her first round bout and will next fight Xinyu Qi of China in the round of 16. That bout will take place at approximately 5:30 am MT on Tuesday. Delgado and Penney received first round byes. Delgado will face Sirine Charabbi of Italy in the round of 16 at approximately 5:15 am MT on Monday, while Penney is in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, and will face the winner of Qimeng Zhong of China and Zhraa Alqrache of Saudi Arabia.
